GARY IN BAMS & TED

So our dear friend Gary Bigeni got snapped in some bams & ted threads last month... a wonderful floral number all the way from the sprawling second-hand stalls in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

You have to know that bams & ted numbers travel far and wide to eventually end up on your back. Or your front. Or your bottom.

Whilst we were setting up at the Stables we were also working hard on another small project - styling The Meeting Room at Gaffa. It was a return to our old shop, where Miranda and Francie and Jessica all had their outings. Now the space is a meeting room which can be hired out for - oh, meetings! - and different stylists and designers take their turns prettying up the room.

We were going for something a tad on the masculine side, reminiscent of a 1950s office complete with a moody dark wood table centrepiece, lamp lighting, a somewhat Central-American tropical colour scheme and of course the ubiquitous glass amber ashtray. We have stocked the shelves chock full of our favourite fiction and glossy mags so you can sneak away from the office to flick some pages, like you know, pre-Steve Jobs times.

We will be taking some pics over the weekend so stay tuned! Or just pop-in. Gaffa is located at 281 Clarence St in the city with the closest cross street being Druitt.
